LLP Confirmation Statement

Confirm your LLP’s details every year

Just like a company, an LLP must confirm once a year that its information on the public register is correct. This includes details about its members and other key information. Filing on time helps avoid penalties and keeps the LLP in good standing. We check your LLP’s details, prepare the statement and file it for you. Forms covered: LL CS01 (Parts 1 and 2).

LL CS01 Confirmation Statement (LLP) (Version 6.0, 02/26)

Purpose

LL CS01 is the confirmation statement made under section 853A of the Companies Act 2006 as applied to limited liability partnerships. It confirms that the LLP has filed up to date, must be filed at least once every year, and must be used to confirm that the member or members have verified their identity. It cannot be used to tell Companies House of changes to LLP officers, people with significant control (PSC), the registered office address or single alternative inspection location (SAIL) information; those changes must be filed separately before, or at the same time as, the confirmation statement.

Deadlines

The form must be delivered within 14 days of the confirmation date entered in section 2. A confirmation statement must be filed at least every 12 months, and it can be filed early at any time during the confirmation period, which changes the next confirmation date. Identity verification became mandatory on 18 November 2025, with a 12-month transition period ending in November 2026; for existing members the personal code is needed by the time the LLP’s next confirmation statement is filed, and the statement may not be accepted without it. A missing or late statement can lead to enforcement action and the LLP may be struck off the register.

Requirements

The LLP name and number must match the public register and the LLP information must have been checked. Any relevant changes must be filed on the appropriate forms before or at the same time, Part 1 completed if necessary, the form authenticated and the identity verification details for the member or members provided. A £110 fee is included with the first confirmation statement filed each year on paper, with cheques or postal orders payable to Companies House; further statements in the same year need no fee.

Filing Process

The “Before you start” box refers to two additional information pages, set out as separate entries below: Part 1, the registered email address, and Part 2, the members’ identity verification details. Section 1 gives the LLP number and name. Section 2 gives the confirmation date, which should be checked on the Companies House service. Section 3 is the lawful purpose statement, where the box is ticked to confirm that the intended future activities of the LLP are lawful. Section 4 is the confirmation statement itself, authenticated by entering a printed name (no signature is needed) by a designated member or judicial factor. The presenter information box is optional.

LL CS01 Part 1 Registered Email Address (Additional information page, Version 6.0, 02/26)

Purpose

This additional information page, made under regulation 17ZB of the Limited Liability Partnerships (Application of Companies Act 2006) Regulations 2009, gives the registered email address of the LLP. It is used only if the LLP was incorporated on an application delivered to the registrar before 4 March 2024 and this is the first confirmation statement with a confirmation date after 4 March 2024, or if the LLP was dissolved before that date and the statement is delivered as part of an application for restoration. The page is not shown on the public record.

Deadlines

This part must be sent at the same time as the confirmation statement, so it is filed within 14 days after the confirmation date entered in section 2 of the LL CS01.

Requirements

The part must be sent with the confirmation statement only if the circumstances above apply, and must not be sent otherwise. It must not be used to update an email address that is already registered; form EM01 is used for that. The barcode on the page must not be covered.

Filing Process

Section A1 asks for one registered email address, entered in the email address box. It must be an appropriate email address, meaning one where emails sent by the registrar would, in the ordinary course of events, be expected to come to the attention of a person acting on behalf of the LLP. Only one email address is given.

LL CS01 Part 2 Member’s Identity Verification (Additional information page, Version 6.0, 02/26)

Purpose

This additional information page, made under regulation 17ZB of the Limited Liability Partnerships (Application of Companies Act 2006) Regulations 2009, gives the identity verification details for all current members of the LLP, unless that information has already been provided. It is not used to give identity verification details of a PSC or of a corporate member. The page is not shown on the public record.

2026–27 verification: LEGACY FORM. CS01 replaced the annual return on 30 June 2016. AR01 can only be used for an annual return made up to 29 June 2016 or earlier.

Deadlines

This part must be sent at the same time as the confirmation statement, so it is filed within 14 days after the confirmation date entered in section 2 of the LL CS01. Identity verification became mandatory on 18 November 2025, with a 12-month transition period ending in November 2026; for existing members the personal code is needed when the LLP’s next confirmation statement is filed.

2026–27 status: Not a current annual filing route. Use CS01 for current company confirmation statements.

Requirements

Details are needed for every current member not already verified. The part must be sent at the same time as the confirmation statement, the Companies House personal code must be given and the barcode must not be covered. A further page is supplied for additional members. 2026–27 verification: LEGACY FORM. CS01 replaced the annual return on 30 June 2016. AR01 can only be used for an annual return made up to 29 June 2016 or earlier.

Filing Process

Section B1 gives the member’s name as it appears on the LLP record (full forenames and surname) and the date of birth. Section B2 is the identity verification statement, where the box is ticked to confirm that the person appointed as a member has verified their identity in accordance with the Companies Act 2006 (section 1110A), together with the member’s 11 character Companies House personal code, which is given after identity has been verified with Companies House. Section B3 asks whether the name matches the verified name; if not, the reason is ticked: legally changed name, preferred name, translation or a different naming convention, prefer not to say, or error on the public register (this is non-statutory information).

2026–27 status: Not a current annual filing route. Use CS01 for current company confirmation statements.
